MINI STICKS
Intro to lacrosse for boys and girls ages 3.5-8
Mini Sticks is a lacrosse experience designed to help 3.5-8 year old kids become the best versions of themselves while teaching the game of lacrosse in a fun, supportive way. Equipment is provided, but feel free to bring your own! Energetic coaches teach skills in an organized and age-appropriate manner using creative games and exercises. The goal is to teach basic lacrosse skills while developing physical literacy in a supportive setting. We discuss "super powers" each session - characteristics that make you a great lacrosse player AND person. Players will be grouped by age as of 8/31 (following school age cutoff), but if you have a request to be with friends we do our best to honor that! Mini Sticks...BIG Fun!

- How to be your best self on and off the field
- Lacrosse is FUN!
- Proper hold and grip of stick
- Cradle, scoop, catch, and throw
- Dodging and stick protection
- Shooting form and technique
- 1v1 defensive concepts
- Hand-eye coordination
- The way you act can be a SUPERPOWER. We discuss and emphasize various superpowers each session such as responsibility, toughness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and other important values.
Each participant receives 1 t-shirt for the year!

Edits have been made to the start/end date of 2025 Winter and Spring Mini Sticks due to conflicts.
**Winter Mini Sticks will start 1 week later than orginally posted (i.e. 1/12 instead of 1/5) and will go until February 9.
**Spring Mini Sticks will start 1 week later than orginally posted (i.e. 3/9 instead of 3/2) and will go until April 6.
Winter Mini Sticks will be held at the Pinehurst Harness Track 1-Mile Infield
Spring Mini Sticks SHOULD be back to Wicker Park
