MINI STICKS
Intro to lacrosse for boys and girls ages 3-8
Mini Sticks is a lacrosse experience designed to introduce 3.5-8 year old kids to the game of lacrosse in a fun, supportive way. Equipment is provided, but feel free to bring your own! Energetic coaches teach skills in a participatory and age-appropriate manner using creative games and exercises. The goal is to teach basic lacrosse skills while developing physical literacy in a supportive setting. Players will be grouped by age as of 8/31 (following school cutoff) and participate in small-sided games. Mini Sticks...BIG Fun!

*We now welcome older 3-year-olds at Mini Sticks! Sessions for 3/4 year olds are 45 minutes (vs. 1 hour) and are priced accordingly. We know kids develop at different speeds. Some of our littlest laxers may not be quite ready for Mini Sticks which isn't necessarily a "parent and me" program. Please use your best judgement about signing your child up.

- Proper hold and grip of stick
- Cradle, scoop, catch, and throw
- Dodging and stick protection
- Shooting form and technique
- 1v1 defensive concepts
- Hand-eye coordination
- The way you act can be a SUPERPOWER. We discuss and emphasize various superpowers each session such as responsibility, toughness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and other important values.
Each participant receives 1 t-shirt for the year!
